Project Description

LADWP constructed a new concrete path along Tesla Avenue, between West Silver Lake Drive and Armstrong Avenue, just north of Ivanhoe Reservoir. The project included construction of a sidewalk on LADWP property, just north of Ivanhoe Reservoir, which provides a new concrete path, benches, and access to an olive grove. Construction was carried out by LADWP construction crews, with the assistance of crews from the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, Bureau of Street Services to construct the curb and gutter.

Project Purpose

The Tesla Avenue Path Project is a mitigation effort under the Silver Lake Bypass Tunnel Project. It is a sidewalk-street betterment to improve pedestrian and vehicle safety near the reservoir property. The project was funded by the LADWP as part of the Silver Lake Bypass Tunnel Project. This project was completed in August 2012
