Customer-owned emergency or standby generator installations must be reviewed and approved by LADWP engineering in accordance with LADWP Electric Service Requirements.

Please submit the following plans and documents in order to request approval from LADWP Engineering:

  • Project address
  • Single line diagram showing the service equipment, transfer switch, and generator
  • Service Planning Information Form
  • Transfer switch specification sheet

Your plans and documents must be submitted via email.
For projects north of Mulholland Drive email your request to [email protected].
For projects south of Mulholland Drive email your request to [email protected].
