LADWP’s Cool LA program helps seniors ‘Beat the Heat and Stay Safe.’ If you’re an LADWP customer 60 years old or older, join us at Cool LA Heat Relief for Seniors to learn how you can combat extreme heat. We will provide valuable information about LADWP programs that help provide heat relief, especially for high-risk seniors. Based on income, seniors may qualify for LADWP’s EZ-SAVE and Lifeline programs to help lower their electricity bills and make air conditioner use during heatwaves more affordable. This event is in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Aging.

*Requirements for the Air Conditioner Giveaway:
LADWP is giving away free portable air conditioners to LADWP customers who meet these requirements:
- RSVP is required
- 60+ years old (bring proof of age)
- Have an LADWP customer account in your name
- Enrolled in or qualified to enroll in LADWP's EZ-SAVE or Lifeline discount program
NOTE: If you are not currently enrolled in EZ-SAVE, you can enroll on-site at the event.
Air conditioners are available while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis. You must attend the event in order to receive the A/C unit. One A/C unit per LADWP account.
Here's a checklist of things to bring. Make sure you bring these with you to the event!
- Government-issued ID showing your name and date of birth
- Your LADWP bill
