Duties include:
- Providing engineering support, including conceptual engineering, preliminary design, detailed design, construction, and commissioning for various projects and systems such as thermal power plant repowering, water distribution facilities, renewable energy facilities, and smart grid / electric vehicle charging network implementation.
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets schedules, feasibility studies, material specifications, construction work packages, and quality assurance plans.
- Analyzing system operations and conducting power system studies using computer models.
- Researching and analyzing engineering issues and writing reports for internal management as well as external regulatory and governmental agencies.
- Preparing, evaluating, awarding, and administering contracts for materials and services.
Eligibility
- Graduation from a recognized four-year college or university with a degree in engineering; or
- Possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training Certificate recognized by the State of California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
